Well known Los Angeles landmark that is very dear to the heart of the artist. it was in the dining room of the iconic location that John Reynolds met his future bride; a true Irish Colleen. The luck of the Irish was with him that night! Originally painted for a benefit to support one of his favorite bartenders who was struggling while dealing with a throat cancer diagnosis. The original, found the perfect home with a similar romantic Bergin's tale. Many memories have been made, and live changed within these walls.
About John Reynolds
When a person comes to Hollywood they discover that most of that Old Hollywood romance has vanished. They’re happy to tear down the great old Art Deco buildings and put up ghoulish strip malls. John represents the true spirit of old Hollywood; where you’re down at the Trocadero drinking a Navy Grog and spouting phrases like, “That chicken’s applesauce!” As Americans we’re always dreaming of that glorious world where Garbo ruled and Buster Keaton painstakingly created genius slapstick comedy. That spirit is alive and well in the body of John Stanford Reynolds and it comes through in his paintings.
